  • Article Description: What happens when electrically charged particles from the sun enter the world’s atmosphere? The answer is that you get to see the most beautiful and extraordinary light show on Earth! We are talking about the Aurora Borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights. Charged electrons and protons from the sun are blown towards the Earth on something called the Solar Wind. If you watch on a video, you may not believe that it is real, but it is.
